The first of four cameras from the Taiyo-do Optical Works in 1948. The Epochs has a 20mm f3.5, fixed-focus, fixed aperture lens, and shutter speeds of B, 1/25 and 1/50.
-- One of four cameras from the Taiyo-do Optical Works, the Meteor appeared in 1949. Although these four camera were very simple, and used 17.5mm, paper-backed roll film, many do not consider them true "HIT" cameras because of their body styling and features. The Meteor is almost the same as the Epochs (see above), but with a slightly longer and slower 25mm f4.5, fixed-focus, fixed aperture lens. It has the same shutter speeds of B, 1/25 and 1/50. This Meteor camera should not be confused with another simple camera of the same name, produced by the Universal Camera Corporation in New York City, which used the much larger 620 film.
-- The Beauty 14 has a 20mm f4.5, fixed-focus, fixed aperture lens and shutter speeds of B, 1/25, 1/50 & 1/100. This "top-of-the-line" model has the same body style as the Vestkam, Meteor and Epochs cameras, but this model has a dual viewing system. There was the traditional viewfinder, but there was also a built-in right-angle, "spy-finder", on the END of the top.
-- Basically the same as the Meteor (see above), but it has a 20mm f4.5 fixed-focus lens, and three speeds -- 1/25, 1/50 & 1/100 and B.
