Halmat
A hard-to-find 17.5mm camera, of unsure origin, that appeared in the late 1950's. It has several of the features
of the unusual Morita 17.5mm cameras, so it might have been made by them, but it may have also had some connection
to Zunow (the company that created the first SLR with an auto-diaphragm and an instant return mirror in the late
1950's). It is shaped more like a mini-Leica than the typical "HIT"-type camera, but has the main features
of a HIT camera, such as a shutter with two speeds -- B & T and a fixed-focus & aperture lens.. Certainly
in a class by itself with the shutter release on the TOP -- but who knows what "Halmat" means in Zunow-ese?
