Alpa cameras are made in Switzerland and, like Swiss watches, are of very high quality. They started manufacturing cameras in the 1940's, and like other quality camera manufacturers have had some hard financial times lately. Nearly all of their cameras were full-frame 35mm models, but several styles, if not most, had a few individual cameras manufactured as half-frames. These were not switchable cameras, like the Konica Autoreflex that could shoot full-frame or half-frame pictures with the help of a built in mask. Alpa cameras were produced in very small lots when compared to most camera manufacturers. The few half-frame Alpas were usually a very small proportion of these runs, and they are very hard to come by today. Undoubedtly other models than those listed here were also produced in half-frame format:
Similar to the 7.
This was a stripped-down version of the 10d and only about 100 were made.
Similar to the 11si.
Similar to the 11e. Apparently 21 were half-frames.
Similar to the 11s. Single speed of 1/60. Less than 50 were made.
